PETG Filament(Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

VOXFIL PETG combines the strength of ABS with PLA-level printability. It resists chemicals and moisture, handles impacts without shattering, and prints with a smooth, glossy surface. The go-to material for functional parts that live in the real world.

PETG filament is the durable all-rounder: the strength of ABS with PLA-level printability, plus chemical and moisture resistance. VOXFIL PETG is FDA food-contact grade, prints with a smooth gloss and survives impacts that shatter PLA.

How to printPETG

Recommended starting profile, proven on open printers and enclosed systems alike.

Nozzle

230 – 250 °C (240 °C sweet spot)

Bed

70 – 85 °C, PEI recommended

Speed

Retraction tuning avoids stringing — see our guide

Do's & don'ts

Print PETG the right way

✓ Do

  • Dry 4 h at 65 °C before long prints — it kills stringing
  • Reduce cooling to 20–40% and speed to 40–60 mm/s for strong layers

✗ Don't

  • Print with full fan — layer adhesion suffers noticeably
  • Over-retract; 1–2 mm retraction is usually enough on direct drive

FAQ

PETG filament —common questions

PETG is easier to print (no enclosure required), more impact resistant and chemically durable, but has lower heat resistance than ABS (70 °C vs 85 °C HDT). Choose PETG for toughness and ease, ABS for heat and post-processing.
PETG loves moisture. Dry at 65 °C for 4 h, lower print speed to 40–60 mm/s, reduce cooling to 20–40% and tune retraction 1–2 mm. Our profile page includes exact starting points.
Yes, our PETG is manufactured from FDA food-contact grade resin and is REACH/RoHS certified. Validate finished parts for your specific use case.
Yes — PETG is available in 1 kg, 3 kg and 5 kg spools, in custom colors and with private label from 100 kg. MOQ for custom colors starts at 10 kg, and samples ship in 72 hours.
Dry box recommended, below 40% RH
All VOXFIL materials are standard 1.75 mm and work with Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Voron and other open printers. Free starting profiles are provided for Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura and OrcaSlicer.
