PETG is the most versatile functional filament — strong, durable, chemical-resistant and easy to print. But not all PETG is equal. Here's what actually separates a great PETG supplier from a frustrating one.
1. Diameter tolerance decides your success rate
PETG is stringing- and extrusion-sensitive. A filament that wanders ±0.05 mm causes inconsistent flow, weak layers and jams. Buy from suppliers who measure ±0.02 mm inline, not spot-checked. VOXFIL publishes our full PETG spec sheet — including inline measurement on every meter.
2. Dry PETG is happy PETG
PETG absorbs moisture. Symptoms: bubbles, stringing, brittle parts. Any supplier that doesn't vacuum-seal with desiccant is costing you prints. Dry 4 h at 65 °C before long jobs.
3. Layer adhesion & color consistency
Ask for batch ΔE color data and tensile/elongation reports. If a supplier can't show numbers, assume the worst. Our QC process is public, and batch reports ship with every bulk order.
4. Price per kg at volume
PETG at 1 kg vs 5 kg spools differs by up to 15% per kg. Farms and resellers should negotiate on per-kilogram price, not per-spool.
Verdict
For most buyers, VOXFIL PETG is the best value: ±0.02 mm tolerance, FDA food-contact grade resin, ΔE < 1.5 color control and factory-direct volume pricing. Get samples in 72 hours and decide with data.
